ܡܡܪܚ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܕܝܢܐ ܥܡ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܕܢܕܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܥܘܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܩܕܡ ܩܕܝܫܐ
qdysh' qdm wl' ewl' qdm dndwn 'khwhy em dyn' lh 'yth kd mnkwn 'nsh mmrkh
Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܩܕܝܫܐ ܠܥܠܡܐ ܢܕܘܢܘܢ ܘܐܢ ܥܠܡܐ ܒܟܘܢ ܡܬܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܫܘܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܡܕܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܕܩܕܩܐ
dqdq' dyn' lmdn 'nthwn shwyn l' mthdyn bkwn elm' w'n ndwnwn lelm' dqdysh' 'nthwn ydeyn l' 'w
Don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܠܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܝܢܝܢܢ ܚܕ ܟܡܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܥܠܡܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܗܢܐ
hn' 'nyn ddelm' 'ylyn km' khd dynynn dlml'k' 'nthwn ydeyn l'
Don’t you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?

ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܥܠ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܣܝܢ ܒܥܕܬܐ ܐܘܬܒܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܕܝܢܐ
bdyn' lkwn 'wthbw bedth' dbsyn l'ylyn delm' el dyn' lkwn 'yth 'n 'l'
If then, you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly?

ܠܟܘܐܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܠܝܬ ܒܟܘܢ ܐܦܠܐ ܚܕ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܕܢܫܟܚ ܢܫܘܐ ܒܝܬ ܐܚܐ ܠܐܚܘܗܝ
l'khwhy 'kh' byth nshw' dnshkkh khkym' khd 'pl' bkwn lyth hkn' lkwn 'n' 'mr dyn hw lkw'r'
I say this to move you to shame. Isn’t there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers?

ܐܠܐ ܐܚܐ ܥܡ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܡܬܕܝܢ ܘܬܘܒ ܩܕܡ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ
mhymnyn dl' 'ylyn qdm wthwb mthdyn 'khwhy em 'kh' 'l'
But brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers!

ܡܢ ܟܕܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܩܢܘܡܟܘܢ ܚܒܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܕܝܢܐ ܚܕ ܥܡ ܚܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܡܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܠܐ ܡܬܥܠܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܡܛܠ ܡܢܐ ܠܐ ܡܬܓܠܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn mthglzyn l' mn' wmTl 'nthwn mthelbyn l' gyr mn' mTl lkwn 'yth khd em khd ddyn' lkwn khbthwn qnwmkwn hkyl kdw mn
Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you, that you have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?

ܐܠܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܥܠܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܓܠܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܦ ܠܐܚܝܟܘܢ
l'khykwn 'p 'nthwn wglzyn 'nthwn elbyn 'nthwn 'l'
No, but you yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that against your brothers.

ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܠܐ ܬܛܥܘܢ ܠܐ ܙܢܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܦܠܚܝ ܦܬܟܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܓܝܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܚܒܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܟܒܝ ܥܡ ܕܟܪܐ
dkr' em shkby wl' mkhbl' wl' gyr' wl' pthkr' plkhy wl' zny' l' thTewn l' yrthyn l' d'lh' mlkwthh dewl' 'nthwn ydeyn l' 'w
Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,

ܘܠܐ ܥܠܘܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܓܢܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܪܘܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܨܥܪܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܚܛܘܦܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ
yrthyn l' d'lh' mlkwthh hlyn khTwp' wl' mtsern' wl' rwy' wl' gnb' wl' elwb' wl'
nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.

ܘܗܠܝܢ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܝ ܒܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܣܚܝܬܘܢ ܘܐܬܩܕܫܬܘܢ ܘܐܙܕܕܩܬܘܢ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܒܪܘܚܗ ܕܐܠܗܢ
d'lhn wbrwkhh mshykh' yshwe dmrn bshmh w'zddqthwn w'thqdshthwn skhythwn 'l' mnkwn 'nsh b'nsh hwy 'yth whlyn
Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

ܟܠ ܫܠܝܛ ܠܝ ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܟܠ ܦܩܚ ܠܝ ܟܠ ܫܠܝܛ ܠܝ ܐܠܐ ܥܠܝ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܢܫܬܠܛ
nshthlT l' 'nsh ely 'l' ly shlyT kl ly pqkh kl l' 'l' ly shlyT kl
“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.

ܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܕܟܪܣܐ ܘܟܪܣܐ ܕܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܬܪܬܝܗܝܢ ܡܒܛܠ ܦܓܪܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܠܙܢܝܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܡܪܢ ܘܡܪܢ ܠܦܓܪܐ
lpgr' wmrn lmrn 'l' lznywth' l' dyn pgr' mbTl lthrthyhyn dyn 'lh' dm'kwlth' wkrs' dkrs' m'kwlth'
“Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods,” but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܢ ܘܠܡܪܢ ܐܩܝܡ ܘܠܢ ܡܩܝܡ ܒܚܝܠܗ
bkhylh mqym wln 'qym wlmrn dyn 'lh'
Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power.

ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܦܓܪܝܟܘܢ ܗܕܡܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܣܒ ܗܕܡܐ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܥܒܕܝܘܗܝ ܗܕܡܐ ܕܙܢܝܬܐ ܚܣ
khs dznyth' hdm' nebdywhy dmshykh' hdm' nsb dmshykh' 'nwn hdm' dpgrykwn 'nthwn ydeyn l'
Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!

ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܕܢܩܦ ܠܙܢܝܬܐ ܚܕ ܗܘ ܦܓܪ ܐܡܝܪ ܓܝܪ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܬܪܝܗܘܢ ܚܕ ܦܓܪ
pgr khd thryhwn dnhwwn gyr 'myr pgr hw khd lznyth' dnqp dmn 'nthwn ydeyn l' 'w
Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, “The two”, he says, “will become one flesh.”

ܡܢ ܕܢܩܦ ܕܝܢ ܠܡܪܢ ܗܘܐ ܥܡܗ ܚܕܐ ܪܘܚ
rwkh khd' emh hw' lmrn dyn dnqp mn
But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.

ܥܪܘܩܘ ܡܢ ܙܢܝܘܬܐ ܟܠ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܕܢܥܒܕ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܦܓܪܗ ܗܝ ܡܢ ܕܡܙܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܦܓܪܗ ܗܘ ܚܛܐ
khT' hw bpgrh dyn dmzn' mn hy pgrh mn lbr brnsh' dnebd khTyth' kl znywth' mn erwqw
Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܦܓܪܟܘܢ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܕܥܡܪܐ ܒܟܘܢ ܗܝ ܕܩܒܠܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܠܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܕܢܦܫܟܘܢ
dnpshkwn hwythwn wl' 'lh' mn dqblthwn hy bkwn demr' dqwdsh' drwkh' hw hykl' dpgrkwn 'nthwn ydeyn l' 'w
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,
