ܡܡܪܚ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܕܝܢܐ ܥܡ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܕܢܕܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܥܘܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܩܕܡ ܩܕܝܫܐ
mmrkh 'nsh mnkwn kd 'yth lh dyn' em 'khwhy dndwn qdm ewl' wl' qdm qdysh'
Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܩܕܝܫܐ ܠܥܠܡܐ ܢܕܘܢܘܢ ܘܐܢ ܥܠܡܐ ܒܟܘܢ ܡܬܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܫܘܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܡܕܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܕܩܕܩܐ
'w l' ydeyn 'nthwn dqdysh' lelm' ndwnwn w'n elm' bkwn mthdyn l' shwyn 'nthwn lmdn dyn' dqdq'
Don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܠܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܝܢܝܢܢ ܚܕ ܟܡܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܥܠܡܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܗܢܐ
l' ydeyn 'nthwn dlml'k' dynynn khd km' 'ylyn ddelm' 'nyn hn'
Don’t you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?

ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܥܠ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܣܝܢ ܒܥܕܬܐ ܐܘܬܒܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܕܝܢܐ
'l' 'n 'yth lkwn dyn' el delm' l'ylyn dbsyn bedth' 'wthbw lkwn bdyn'
If then, you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly?

ܠܟܘܐܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܠܝܬ ܒܟܘܢ ܐܦܠܐ ܚܕ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܕܢܫܟܚ ܢܫܘܐ ܒܝܬ ܐܚܐ ܠܐܚܘܗܝ
lkw'r' hw dyn 'mr 'n' lkwn hkn' lyth bkwn 'pl' khd khkym' dnshkkh nshw' byth 'kh' l'khwhy
I say this to move you to shame. Isn’t there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers?

ܐܠܐ ܐܚܐ ܥܡ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܡܬܕܝܢ ܘܬܘܒ ܩܕܡ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ
'l' 'kh' em 'khwhy mthdyn wthwb qdm 'ylyn dl' mhymnyn
But brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers!

ܡܢ ܟܕܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܩܢܘܡܟܘܢ ܚܒܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܕܝܢܐ ܚܕ ܥܡ ܚܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܡܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܠܐ ܡܬܥܠܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܡܛܠ ܡܢܐ ܠܐ ܡܬܓܠܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
mn kdw hkyl qnwmkwn khbthwn lkwn ddyn' khd em khd 'yth lkwn mTl mn' gyr l' mthelbyn 'nthwn wmTl mn' l' mthglzyn 'nthwn
Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you, that you have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?

ܐܠܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܥܠܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܓܠܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܦ ܠܐܚܝܟܘܢ
'l' 'nthwn elbyn 'nthwn wglzyn 'nthwn 'p l'khykwn
No, but you yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and that against your brothers.

ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܠܐ ܬܛܥܘܢ ܠܐ ܙܢܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܦܠܚܝ ܦܬܟܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܓܝܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܚܒܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܟܒܝ ܥܡ ܕܟܪܐ
'w l' ydeyn 'nthwn dewl' mlkwthh d'lh' l' yrthyn l' thTewn l' zny' wl' plkhy pthkr' wl' gyr' wl' mkhbl' wl' shkby em dkr'
Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,

ܘܠܐ ܥܠܘܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܓܢܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܪܘܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܨܥܪܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܚܛܘܦܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ
wl' elwb' wl' gnb' wl' rwy' wl' mtsern' wl' khTwp' hlyn mlkwthh d'lh' l' yrthyn
nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.

ܘܗܠܝܢ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܝ ܒܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܣܚܝܬܘܢ ܘܐܬܩܕܫܬܘܢ ܘܐܙܕܕܩܬܘܢ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܒܪܘܚܗ ܕܐܠܗܢ
whlyn 'yth hwy b'nsh 'nsh mnkwn 'l' skhythwn w'thqdshthwn w'zddqthwn bshmh dmrn yshwe mshykh' wbrwkhh d'lhn
Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

ܟܠ ܫܠܝܛ ܠܝ ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܟܠ ܦܩܚ ܠܝ ܟܠ ܫܠܝܛ ܠܝ ܐܠܐ ܥܠܝ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܢܫܬܠܛ

“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.

ܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܕܟܪܣܐ ܘܟܪܣܐ ܕܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܬܪܬܝܗܝܢ ܡܒܛܠ ܦܓܪܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܠܙܢܝܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܡܪܢ ܘܡܪܢ ܠܦܓܪܐ
m'kwlth' dkrs' wkrs' dm'kwlth' 'lh' dyn lthrthyhyn mbTl pgr' dyn l' lznywth' 'l' lmrn wmrn lpgr'
“Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods,” but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܢ ܘܠܡܪܢ ܐܩܝܡ ܘܠܢ ܡܩܝܡ ܒܚܝܠܗ
'lh' dyn wlmrn 'qym wln mqym bkhylh
Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power.

ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܦܓܪܝܟܘܢ ܗܕܡܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܣܒ ܗܕܡܐ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܥܒܕܝܘܗܝ ܗܕܡܐ ܕܙܢܝܬܐ ܚܣ
l' ydeyn 'nthwn dpgrykwn hdm' 'nwn dmshykh' nsb hdm' dmshykh' nebdywhy hdm' dznyth' khs
Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!

ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܕܢܩܦ ܠܙܢܝܬܐ ܚܕ ܗܘ ܦܓܪ ܐܡܝܪ ܓܝܪ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܬܪܝܗܘܢ ܚܕ ܦܓܪ
'w l' ydeyn 'nthwn dmn dnqp lznyth' khd hw pgr 'myr gyr dnhwwn thryhwn khd pgr
Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, “The two”, he says, “will become one flesh.”

ܡܢ ܕܢܩܦ ܕܝܢ ܠܡܪܢ ܗܘܐ ܥܡܗ ܚܕܐ ܪܘܚ

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.

ܥܪܘܩܘ ܡܢ ܙܢܝܘܬܐ ܟܠ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܕܢܥܒܕ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܦܓܪܗ ܗܝ ܡܢ ܕܡܙܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܦܓܪܗ ܗܘ ܚܛܐ
erwqw mn znywth' kl khTyth' dnebd brnsh' lbr mn pgrh hy mn dmzn' dyn bpgrh hw khT'
Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܦܓܪܟܘܢ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܕܥܡܪܐ ܒܟܘܢ ܗܝ ܕܩܒܠܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܠܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܕܢܦܫܟܘܢ
'w l' ydeyn 'nthwn dpgrkwn hykl' hw drwkh' dqwdsh' demr' bkwn hy dqblthwn mn 'lh' wl' hwythwn dnpshkwn
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,

ܐܙܕܒܢܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܒܕܡܝܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܡܫܒܚܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܒܦܓܪܟܘܢ ܘܒܪܘܚܟܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܕܐܠܗܐ
'zdbnthwn gyr bdmy' hwythwn hkyl mshbkhyn l'lh' bpgrkwn wbrwkhkwn hnwn d'ythyhwn d'lh'
for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
